It’s different for every group, but the original PyroBlazers group got started for stress management as Margarita night. Many in the group are in the computer business and right around the times of the dot com crash we were all pretty stressed. What better way (so we thought) to unwind from a stress filled week than for the bunch of us to get together and pound down some margaritas and let out the weeks frustrations. Actually the margarita idea started from a long business trip a missed airplane and an $80 bill at Chili's for margaritas and one order of fries. But that’s a different story.

So "What the heck", you may ask, do margaritas have to do with backyard fires? Well that's simple, after three or four margaritas, conversations lead to..."I'm board, what else can we do?" "Lets's start a fire!". See the connection...Yeah I don't either, but anyway, the only way to have a fire in our area legally is to buy a fire pit... so we bought three...and PyroBlazers was born.

After a while sitting around the fire can get kinda old too. So we started coming up with themes for our backyard fire events such as having a crab boil, birthday party, BBQ and tropical decor.

By the way...our events still involve margaritas, beer, wine and coolers but somewhere along the way the Holly Grail of drinks became Jack Daniel's Single Barrel. When the bottle is empty it gets melted in the fire to watch the cork pop.

...which is very hot by the way and dangerous too so don't do it...and if you do decide to try stupid people tricks like this because you've had to much to drink or whatever, don't come crying to us when you get hurt.
